Thanks for finally putting up what it was that Rush said that made Lurch's bolts stand out.

I didn't think it very likely at all that Rush would round on the Izzies, considering especially that Iran started all this crap and that Hisbollah had been assiduously trying for days, weeks, to get the Izzies to swing hard, by constantly rocketing the daylights out of those northern Israeli towns.

This is all about Bush and Blair's having put the Iranian mullahs' testicles in a tourniquet over their drive to get the Bomb. This is the Iranians' way of changing the subject out in the "Arab street". They pulled this with Hamas and the "second intifada" when Oslo was happening, too. Iran has big swing with both Hamas and Hisbollah -- Hisbollah is practically an extension of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

Correct, but it's backfired on them. Iran was counting on the "world community" to keep pressure on Israel to practice restraint and draw this whole thing out diplomatically until the next meaningless cease fire, but they didn't count on the fact that Bush and Blair have (as is now obvious) agreed to let Israel of their leash long enough to kick the crap out of Hezbolla. When this is over, Israel will be much stronger and more secure and will have quite a few of its neighbors a lot more concerned about which of them might be next.

I looked at the "index" of DU, and I didn't see where any of those Rush-hating liberals ever stated what Rush said, and what was wrong with it.

One of these days I will get real drunk and join DU. I would like to say "What was it that Limbaugh [I would have to stay in hiding so they won't realize I am a Freeper] spouted about Israel?"
