One of my wife's sort-of friends came by the other day. While she was there she asked about the girls.
My wife said with a straight face "They're out at the range with their dad shooting." She said the lady did a slight double take and asked "With guns?" and the reply was "Of course."

The first time I was at a neighborhood cocktail party, I wore a western-style leather vest (think James West) with a SASS badge on it.
Some folks asked if I had guns. I replied "yes."
They asked what I shot at.
I told them, "liberals."
