Yes, that's a powerful movie. I saw it years ago and I've never forgotten it. I've got a 21-year old daughter and although she's never seen the movie, she knows how I feel. Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to get ahold of it. I don't think she's going to be so foolish, but she has friends.
I was just ill observing this young man at a family outing. He pretty much ignores the family, but takes care of the child and enjoys himsels in the pool. Ignored his wife and her family. His emphasis: child and self. Bad sign.
He should never be allowed to take the child out of the country. The State Department has stacks of complaints against Middle Eastern guys who take their children to their nome country and will not return the child or even let the mother visit.
