CNN interviewing another father and son (looked about 7) evacuees. They lived in Beirut and had to go to the grandparents somewhere in Lebanon after their apartment was destroyed. Yet another father and kid who aren't native American.
Yeah, there was just an 8-year-old boy from Michigan with an Arabic name, seemed like a typical Arab-American boy, but was by himself!
Anyhow, I have not seen one happy face yet and have not heard one word about anyone being glad to be back on US soil. Not one. The news people keep saying "these happy people" and when the camera pans the crowd, there aren't any.
The very first thing each one has said is that they didn't want to leave and they either wanted to stay or want to go right back ASAP.
I'm not going to be able to take this today or post too much, I don't think. I'm all stressed by this and getting asthmatic worse than usual.
Rebel-Yell2 replied that most folks living there have three passports. One Lebanese; one from a major country - U.S.; U.K.; France etc. and a third from a neighboring country.
WOW! I have water, canned food and batteries in my emergency supplies, these folks have passports!
