Actually, one of the things that I like about watching the news...especially while on here...is that most of us are watching the same thing...so we can debate and exchange opinions of the same "event. If we all had different sites...we wouldn't have the visual in common.

I was thinking the same thing as I was reading this and got to your post! I got rid of my TV hoping to get more done and have more peace and quiet, but then got this new laptop and DSL for the first time, so for the first time I can get videos, so I've basically got the TV again! (If they'll give more free videos!)

And there's something to be said about talking with all of you at a time of world excitement like this....hearing your views...it's been quiet enjoyable and I'm learning alot! Thx!

Yes...LIVE threads during big events...Katrina last year, the elections, 9/11, and this..together WITH a TV, are the best.

Before FR, I would watch these type events and turn to my husband or the "air" and ask why this or that happened...and of course, no answer.

NOW, not only does someone answer, but there is ALWAYS someone that KNOWS the answers...LOL
