Someone on the news (former military/USA) totally supported a strike on Syria to "break the back" of Hezbollah which, he said, was imperative in winning this round of the WOT. I must say I was shocked but perhaps this would do it because he also said that Iran won't step in. Can't understand the logic there, however.
I agree Iran doesn't want to fight Israel directly...they'll use their cannon fodder...oops.. allies Hizbullah.
