Defying the will of Congress (remember these votes in November!), President Bush sent a veto message (read the president's message here), that he would not sign HR 810, the "Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2005."
President Bush addressed the situation in Lebanon while meeting with members of Congress in the White House.
Secretary of State Rice met at the State Department today: New Zealand's Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Peres, and Belgium's Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht. Next week she is scheduled to attend Southeast Asia's top security forum.
That's such a great story, Truthie. And I thought it was pretty cool that frozen embryo babies and Tony fans are called Snowflakes too!
I always try and remind people that there is absolutely nothing preventing private firms that can do what they wish with regard to research.
The one you're referring to is clearly a disruptor with serious personal problems (clearly anti-Catholic).
The two or one previously referred to are vile atheists who hate President Bush because he is a man of faith.
(Then we can add the guy who posted horrid, sexist things to me, and all in all, we have a really happy thread there, don't we? :)
I'm all for jonny reporting his findings to the Mods in a freepmail. What say you, jonny? :)
I would feel better if we had something more substantial, but our suspicions might be the all the evidence we can get.
Some may or may not have multiple screen names, but don't overlook the possibility of paid and/or volunteer operatives for the multitude of political groups out there. Somewhere I read that Soros money has been used to set up paid (and volunteer) propagandists whose job it is to surf political sites like this and spread their message.
Agent provocateurs are as old as the concepts of disinformaton and propaganda. I have no doubt that some of the less reputable groups across the political spectrum are using the internet for such purposes. Heck, we certainly know from news reports that Islamofacists are doing it. So we shouldn't be surprised if other ideologically and/or hate-drive types are doing the same thing.
That's precisely what such people want to do -- create discord, spread doubt and, they hope, peel off voters. You are very astute, Miss Marple. :)
Yep. He screamed "zygote!" several times. And when he was ignored, he became more hysterical: (paraphrase) "Address my point about zygotes!!!"
BTW, is it "zygote" or "xygote"? It's been a while since biology :)
There have been quite a few experiences we've all had lately; I see with some really ugly freepers and posts. Well, mine were mostly just stupid vs ugly.
I think if Jonny got the right mod, there might be traction. A few years ago a mod freepmailed me out of the blue and said something about a few projects he was working on to determine if a couple of freepers had multiple screen names. I'd just been talking to one of them and was onto them and I guess the mod just wanted to let me know I wasn't wrong.
I trust you explicity; I know very little about how this stuff works.
But I have seen quite a few posters post to themselves and ask a question and later on the question gets answered by their other screen name.
Grin...it's zygote, which is defined as multiple AI alumni who are releasing albums in the fall (true). Snicker...
No, a zygote is a cell formed by the union of two gametes. Now don't ask me to define gametes. LOL!
Hi, Purple. I never found the name of that pretty bird the other day although I did look through our bird book.
Mr. P just told me it's thundering and lightening out so I'm turning off the computer for a while.
I think I will go back and look at those posts and see if my sspicions are justified. If so, I will ping the moderator.
Sorry :)
My suggestion is (FWIW), that we/you go ahead and notify the mods of your suspicions (and give our names as back-ups), and give him/her the documentation you gave us here, and see what happens.
You're a really nice guy, so I'm sure you will do it sweetly, as always.
Probably best not to have ME do it. ;)
No matter what, it's up to you whether you do it or not. I happen to think it's worth a try.
I think his behavior is beyond curious......and I really do doubt that he's telling the truth about anything.
That's okay! I know how that goes...w/o spaces the blasted red x shows up.
No need for sorry...Blasted HTML code!
LOL! Thanks again!
Me too. If it hadn't been for the information you and Wolfstar provided then I would've just assumed that these were two different people posting similar comments.
I'm more watchful (paranoid) now :)
Oh okay thanks for searching your book.
Now ya know why my head was swimming yesterday LOL!
Stay safe during the storm...
It makes sense to me, though, that a thread about saving the lives of the unborn would be the target of trolls.
There is no more important goal of the left than the continued murder of unborn babies. The President struck a nerve with his veto yesterday, and even more with his strong words in defense of the sanctity of life.
That's what I get for opening my big mouth :)
If you think that's the best thing to do (you all have been here longer than I have and you know what works and what doesn't), then I'll do my part.
