To: Wings-n-Wind

I'm searching around to find out if 2 500's is the capacity. One article said that they can have 4 hardpoints for munitions, but I can't find a spec right now that gives all the configurations and total max payload assuming they don't need aux fuel tanks.

I was citing a typical single pass load....
I think you can get 3 (maybe 4) Mark 82's (#500ea) on each hardpoint)
That's 12 bombs = 6000# of ordnance on one jet...
Flight of 4 yields 24,000#...

Then you can shuffle the math for 1000# and 2000# LGB's --
Likely one per hard point...
Makes each jet at least 4000# of PRECISION death and destruction...

With two divisions.... 8 planes.... easy with air supremacy... big guided booms...

Add a few special ops guys with a laser designator -- or even substantially accurate GPS fix....

It all landed right in the bad guys' hip pocket....
