I still say Al the bore is probably a robot. He should play the villain in the next Terminator movie. I mean, who wouldn't want to see the Governator blow Al's head off with a shotgun?

Speaking as a script writer, it just wouldn't work. Gore would start talking and eventually the Terminator's power supply would give out. It can only be exposed to dullness for 1,000 years.

Now if they let the Star Trek cast overact to Al's verbal assaults, that would be believable:

Hi, I'm Al Gore and I used to be the president of The United States.
