I've been following Rebel's posts since last week when this all started and you have accurately stated that he supports Israel, the US, the military and is angry at the State Department (get in line on that one) and the jihadists.
He's at times disappointed with Israel with the closing of the port because it will make rescue efforts more difficult and time consuming.

He may support Israel most of the time, but when it comes to actions, he is for himself only. He posted on June 25th that he wanted Israel to wait until he left the war zone and then he posted from Lebanon on July 13th that he was NOT happy with Israel because they bombed the airport. I stand by my statement that he should find a new job.
Yes, I do hope he comes home safe.
God forbid he should think about himself while bombs are falling all around him.
Good point! </sarcasm>
I will only add that I can well imagine that there are a fair number of Bush administration officials who truly wish that the port and the airport were available for us to get people out and aren't exactly delighted that Israel did this without notice so we could send out warnings to people.
And so, it doesn't strike me as strange whatsoever that Rebel wishes that he could get out of the country before the easiest ways to get out were made unavailable. I think any one of us would have that reaction.
