The Silkworm(iranian) missile that hit the Israeli warship was enough as it was.
"They are secretly being held at the Embassy of Iran in Beirut."
Not such a secret anymore. Wonder if the NYTimes broke this secret?
"I did not have relations with that country, Israel".
ping for later read
No, the NYT only reveals secrets that weaken western forces, not our opponents.
This report is as unverifiable as another posted claiming Clinton said Israel used excessive force.
Need proper sourcing.....
Iran won't be that dumb. Common sense anyone?
hehehehehehe.....you are so quick! :-)
Iran doesn't consider embassies sacrosanct, that's for sure. Israel should storm it and if their soldiers are murdered, formally declare war on iran.
If true, Iran is letting the world know they started this current war with Israel. It's almost like they are asking for it. Something's up....very fishy.
You could be right but I think they might have wiggle room on that. It would seem to me (but I don't know) that holding soldiers against their will in your Embassy would definitely be.
If this is true, it is not the first time this same Iranian Embassy has been used for such a purpose, e.g., US hostages were held in the the early-mid eighties but never confirmed in the media - the score to settle with Iran by the US goes from this embassy to the American Embassy taken over....
GOOD to see you, my FRiend.
It wouldn't be bombed anyway. Not on purpose, anyway ;)
It is considered part of Iran and it would be a direct act of war against Iran if Israel bombed it.
Hold all the Iranian embassy people hostage for 444 days.
IB4TZ. The bs meter is pegged.
LOL!! That is so cool.
Well, needed a laugh from an unserious thread. There have been such good ones lately!
Welcome to Free Republic, are you associated with Lebanon in any way?
I think it could very well be true. However, I have no real way of knowing, because there's no source for a news agency given.
I do like the site linked to though. Seems very pro-Israel. :)
So was the iranian hostage crisis in 1980. Iran would hardly be in a position to complain about it.
At least they are not participating in the violence against Israel.... ;)
