DOHA - Qatar's stock market index sank more than 6 percent on Sunday as concern about escalating violence in Lebanon and Israel battered investor sentiment in the Gulf Arab region.
Qatar's main stock index .QSI was down 6.08 percent at 7704.52 points at 0852 GMT. All bourses in the Gulf were trading lower on Sunday except Saudi Arabia's market which rebounded after plummeting more than 9 percent on Saturday.
"This follows what happened yesterday in Gulf markets over all the concern about what is happening in the Middle East," said Samer Al Jaouni of Ahli Bank in Qatar.
