There's a difference between having the power and using the power. I don't believe God micromanages His children's lives. I believe he knows what will happen in all cases, but not that he is always the cause of it.
Each person chooses for himself and the consequences of that choice happen. I think this war has begun because of the evil decisions of violent men, not because God wanted a war.
Not always, but in terms of his dealings with Israel, his hand has ALWAYS been involved in it.
Quite frankly I would be shiverring in my boots if I had any thoughts whatsoever that this war was being waged without the direct intevervention of God. He is not asleep at the wheel. Nothing is done which is not part of his plan and nothing is done which is not ordained by God.
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. (Proverbs 21:1 KJV)
Do you believe THAT?
God wanted the Egyptians drowned in the Red Sea. Otherwise, He would have continued holding back the water. Instead, He let the water crash over them.
God wanted Jericho destroyed. He knocked the walls down.
Sodom and Gomorrah, anyone?.....
