"Does DISH? Is there anything out there - satellite wise.
For $100 Dish will put up an International dish that is capable of pulling in tons of international TV. The channels are a la carte and generally run $6-10/month per each.

Really?

Hmmmm I will give them a call tomorrow. Wonder what channels they offer? I looked on the web site and didn't see that option.

Thanks for the tip

I had Int'l Disht hooked up for my non-english-speaking mother-in-law. I already have Dish, but the International flows through a different satellite, requiring a second dish. So far I only have TV5Monde (French) on which I witnessed Jane Fonda saying that she regretted nothing about her actions regarding Vietnam, and after pausing said "Except for smiling in the AA picture."

It's worth remembering that satellite coverage from foreign sources that is available for viewing by U.S. viewers comes from the U.S. version of those channels. You can't get the foreign version because... obviously... there's this whole planet between you and their satellite. So, depending on the country and service you may get what the locals are seeing, but you're more likely to be getting a version prepared for U.S. consumption, or prepared by a foreign language network based in the U.S..

So... as you hinted... figuring out just what you might get takes considerable care.
