I totally disagree. We are nearing the end of the poker game and we will either fold or go "all in". When it comes ot supporting Israel, Dubya will support Israel and tell our Arab friends to mind their own business and stay out of the way. The poop is hitting the fan and diplomacy be damned.

You can disagree all you want, but the Arabs control most of the world's supply of exportable oil. Dubya will be limited on what he can do by that reality. We don't want a replay of 1973. Our involvment would also have a major impact on our efforts in Iraq.

Israel can defend itself.

please notice the deafening silence from Saudi Arabia and the other oil exporting countries (other than Iran from whom we do not buy oil)...there is even speculation that the Saudis gave a wink and a nod to this..
