In conservative Florida, I filled the tank at $2.79 per gallon (but not at Citgo as that's owned by the State of Venezuela - Hugo Chavez). News is now breaking that oil futures are hitting all-time highs.
I can understand that they don't have staff on hand 24 hours a day to handle breaking news after midnight. What I don't understand is why they don't have an arrangement with another news channel to carry their feed when this happens--like CNN is doing with CNNi. They could use Sky News from the UK (which would work because they are in daytime now), or, better yet, an Australian channel.
At this stage, I do not believe it will happen...I believe in fact, we may be setting a fly trap in the hopes they will try it. We do not have to invade and take Iran. We do have to take down their nuclear program and hurt their military. If we do, Irean will implode IMHO.
Syria, we can decimate their military with the IDF's help in a fairly short time. Net result is that two of the largets supporters of terrorism in the world will get laid low and set back militarily big time...and Iran's nuclear progream will, in the mix, get set/bombed back twenty or more years, or better yet, permanently.
Palestinians fire anti-tank missile at IDF position in south Gaza; no injuries (Itim
I'm sure they do. Israel is so small and surrounded by countries who pray for their destruction.
Biggest story of the year so far.
But thank you.
I'm a lurker at RR. Do you post there?
But what if Iraq were invaded by Syria or Iran?
How would Iraq react?
Additional Communities Ordered into Shelters
08:56 Jul 13, '06 / 17 Tammuz 5766
(IsraelNN.com) In light of continuing rocket attacks into northern Israel, the IDF has instructed residents of additional communities to enter shelters. That list includes Yesod HaMaaleh, Kibbutz Machanayim, Mishmar HaYarden, Hulta, Sdei Eliezer, Gadot and Ayelet HaShachar.
Authorities report that while during the morning hours, rockets did land in Kiryat Shmona, the longer-range rockets are striking areas further south and not just northern border communities.
There is also a high alert in IDF northern positions in light of intelligence warnings of plans to kidnap additional soldiers.
I hear you.
Oh well, I'm off to bed.
Prayers for the IDF and all of Israel tonight.
The sucidial idiot leader in iran for one. Several times.
They are the strongest military force in the region, by far.
I know that.
We won't choose oil over Israel. If worse comes to worse we'll......
Peres to convene urgent meeting following barrage of rockets in the north
The Vice Premier, Shimon Peres, will convene an urgent meeting following the recent barrage of Katyusha rocket launched from Lebanon at the communities of northern Israel.
Peres instructed his staff to ask regional council leaders in these areas if they require special assistance as a result of the attacks. (Ronny Sofer)
And YOU are doing the best reporting. Shalom--and God bless!
I like your take better, but we only have 120K forces in theater. Not a lot of boots on the ground should Iran come knocking. Hope you are right.
IAF attacks Al-Manar broadcasting station
IDF sources report that the Israel Air Force attacked the Al-Manar broadcasting station in Beirut on Thursday.
The station is strongly affiliated with the Hizbullah terror organization. (Hanan Greenberg)
Katyusha lands on Kibbutz Gesher Haziv; no casualties
A katyusha rocket landed Thursday next to Kibbutz Gesher Haziv in the Western Galilee. There were no casualties or other damage.
This is the fifteenth rocket to land on the area since early Thursday morning. (Ahiya Raved)
Syrian army is an absolute joke. They are purely there to keep the Assad dictatorship alive. It would be a massacre if they tried to take on the IDF or US.
