A symbolic strike is how some are characterizing it, The Syrians and Iranians best be ready to receive a smiting as well if they don't call their Remote Dogs of War off.

I just saw that in Fox - destroyed the building.

I don't think that the Pali's were using it for its designated function anyway.

This could be real ugly real fast - for the Pali's. Israel isn't playing around any more.

My estimation of the Olmert government has been raised a few notches.

Do you think this will be a mini shock and awe or just this symbolic strike?

BFD about the building. How many Hamas members were inside?

FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.

Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.

UPDATE

Bomb destroys Palestinian foreign ministry

IBRAHIM BARZAK, Associated Press Writer

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - A bomb dropped by an Israeli warplane destroyed the Palestinian Foreign Ministry building in Gaza City early Thursday, witnesses said.

The bomb collapsed the building and caused widespread destruction in the area. The Palestinian foreign minister is Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar.

The Israeli military had no immediate comment.

At least three people were wounded in the strike, which took place after 1:30 a.m. The injured were in neighboring buildings, and it was not known if anyone was in the ministry at the time. Ambulances and rescue services were racing to the scene.

Houses and cars in the area were badly damaged by the force of the blast, and the third and fourth floors of the foreign ministry building were destroyed.

Israel has been waging a two-week offensive in Gaza after Hamas-linked militants carried out a cross-border raid, killing two Israeli soldiers and capturing a third. Early Wednesday, an Israeli aircraft dropped a quarter-ton bomb on a house in Gaza City where Hamas commanders were meeting, killing nine members of a family.

Earlier this month Israeli warplanes attacked the Hamas-controlled Interior Ministry twice, causing considerable damage.

I would hope that this time the Israeli's make it permanent.

If they truly don't want Gaza or the West Bank go in and destroy the infrastructure & salt the earth there !

Scatter the pali's to the wind, it's the only way to fight this. Otherwise, it's going to be a lot of want-on destruction and then a return to the status quo. I really hope they do it this time.

They bombed it at 1:30 AM. It's a bit more than a symbolic gesture, but it's less than an act of war, because it was clearly planned to avoid killing anyone in the building.

What could the Pali Foreign Ministry building have been used for other than communications with the likes of Hezbollah, Syria, and Iran? Seems like destroying it would be a lot more than just symbolic.

Notice how in all those shots of Palestinians at the hospital, almost none had any wounds?

GO ISRAEL GO!

Israel gives up land for peace and what do they get? Fired upon with rockets that's what. I wish these brainwashed muzzzzlem's would wise up and see the error of their ways. Their ultimate goal of pushing Israel in to the sea will NEVER be realized. God is not through with Israel but He's almost there with Muslims.

The world's falling apart so I go to the TV for some better news. Well Larry is talking to Mike Wallace and Dan "the documents were false but the story is true" Rather like these two are the story?? Next on Nancy Grace, Guilty,Guilty,Guilty Obermann is on with Barbara Boxer talking about getting out of Iraq (of course no opposing POV)and badmouthing Bill OReilly, OReilly is talking about Lance Armstrong and blood doping. How sad. I run the news station dial and the closest I come to news is on Obermann and its a rant. A typical night of the irresponsibile press.
