Wasn't that special election in CA supposed to be the race that set the pace for 2006? Oh yeah, the Democrat lost so now we need another race to set the pace. And when the Dem loses that one, they will find yet another race to set the pace.
I'm not familiar with all the candidates the article mentions but the Tribune is wrong about the 10th district race (Sherwood). It wasn't a razor thin margin for Sherwood over Scott, he won by about 7000 votes out of about 53,000 cast. I wouldn't call that razor thin.
Because Republicans still out number Dems in the 10th, the general election probably won't be as close.
Parts of the district are starting to increase Dem registration (particularly Monroe County) because of all the Jersey people moving in.
