I'd certainly prefer Rudy to Hillary. I might get flamed, but I'd prefer him over McCain too.

No disagreement here.

Republican insiders respond to these numbers by saying rank-and-file GOP voters will abandon Giuliani once they realize his position on abortion, gay rights and gun control.

Throw in his defense of NYC as a "sanctuary city" and R.G. doesn't have any shot at the GOP nomination.

Don't we have this same exact thread like every weekend or something?

If the War on Terror were the only thing going, Rudy wouldn't be a horrible choice, but he just isn't up to the task when you consider the courts, taxes, etc....

It just isn't going to happen.

Rudy or McPain becomes the candidate and I leave the party!

No point in electing a RINO, actually worse than a liberal.
With a RINO in office we would be expected to bless his actions under the guise of "Party Unity".

At least with a Dumb-ocrat in office we would be free to resist them by all legal means.

Rudy Guiliani is by far the best man to continue the war on terror. In my opinion, he would have done a much better job than W with the war on Iraq.

Rudy is an inspiring speaker, right from the heart and there's no B.S.

I don't care if I get flamed, but Rudy is my first choice in the primary. He charismatic and a great leader. If he gets the Republican nomination, he will smoke whoever he runs against. Just my 2 cents worth. :-)

At least I like Rudy. That's more than I can say for the rest of them. I would like to see Newt debate Hillary, though. He'd shred her.

I do not believe Rudy could beat Hillary for the senate in his own state.

The MSM are pushing for Rudy, Romney or McCain.

I'd take Rudy over McCain any day.

At least Rudy is never going to turn the administration upside down trying to find out who stole the wardroom strawberries.

I'm more disturbed that Newt Gingrich was third. The guy makes Bill Clinton look like a 50's sitcom husband. Not to mention he resigned in disgrace 8 years ago.

...all of which he supports wholeheartedly. Not to mention illegal immigration, which he also supports. Needless to say, I won't vote for him should he get the nomination. Keeping Hillary out of office is pointless if you elect someone just as bad.

Unless Mr. Giuliani publicly repents in torn sackloth and ashes for his positions against life, I will not vote for him under any circumstances whatsoever.

Haven't had time to run through all the comments here but Rudy is a RINO, he never even suppoted Pataki when he was running against Cuomo.
Can't vote for Rudy even if he is the nominee without knowing a lot more.
The best guy out there may be Gov. Mark Sanford of S. Carolina. He is the one I would vote for hand down.
But the big question is will he consider running?????

Not me! Rudy never met an abortion he didn't like or a gun he did. On social issues, he's as far left as Hillary.
