With that much manpower down there, they should have that whole border wrapped in barbed wire. On a good day, I could fence a mile by myself.

Like I said, Pima county is getting ripped off if they're paying that much for 2.2 miles of fence.

Pima County is Tucson. Cochise County where this is - is to the SE about 70-85 miles.

If the ground is soft enough. But the pic showed 'T' posts not 2" pipe posts. I don;t know what sort of substrate they are putting postholes in, either (dirt, sand, solid rock?).

Heck, postholes are cheap, shipping is free, but the danged installation charges can be something else...
