Then he sould be refunding 300K to the donors especially the guy that mortgaged his house for 150k thinking Simcox was serious.

They interviewed Simcox, but they said they couldn't back up what he told them...so far there's no fence, and even the meals & portapotties he said he was providing for the volunteers weren't there.

Surely you're not naive enough to not know about how easy it is for the MSM to creatively edit anyone's remarks. And surely, you're not dumb enough to think that Chris Simcox is responsible for providing a portajohn for every volunteer that shows up on the border.

Which can only mean one thing: You're just another willing cog in the open borders machine. At least in your very limited way here, now.

So far, the only sources your side has quoted here have been a jealous rival, a couple of naive disgruntled volunteers (what did they think, it was easy in the southern desert?), communist propagandists, racists, and a shoddy local ABC affiliate looking for a story that fits their sensationalized agenda.

But no facts. Your side ignores facts that don't fit your agenda assiduously.

Damn you are brazen.

I wouldn't have thought so, but he himself said he was paying for them.

That's more sources than "your side" has quoted. So far all you've done is call names.

But no facts. Your side ignores facts that don't fit your agenda assiduously.

I don't know that I have "an agenda" as you mean it. I'd like to see the border closed, by whatever means it takes.

I was hoping for some facts from you, but so far all I've seen is the usual namecalling.

I'm beginning to wonder whether or not you'd recognize a fact if it broadsided you.

I dont think so.
I think he's trying to raise enough money to build a serious fence a serious length, on private property, legally in compliance with local zoning requirements, and enviroMentalists.

I am headed for bed, so I really shouldn't jump in here...but I would be very careful with that particular assertion.

That is true of ALL human beings and fits people on all sides of the argument here. To say differently is to be completely disingenuous.

I'll look for a reply in the morning.

Not this time son. The subject is the fence and where it isn't.

It's going on private property.

Is there enough private property to build a suitable fence, or will there be gaps?

You should really be ashamed of yourself.

You don't think Simcox and his org have paid for johns aplenty? Just because some naive volunteer didn't find one in his little stretch of the border doesn't make Simcox a liar. He was simply listing a few of the things that they've had to raise money for. Big freakin' deal.

How does it feel spinning for folks like the ACLU and the SPLC, Amelia? That's where you are now. That's where your party loyalty and your refusal to let go of old bitternesses has led you, whether you realize it or not.

Here's the thing. No rancher in his right mind is going to go for the fence design Simcox raised 300k for. His livestock would be cut to ribbons and any illegal that got caught in the Razor wire would trigger a damned international incident. Simcox is either completely nuts, my guess, or he knew it from the get go which is criminal fraud.

EV, you're the one who should be ashamed.

You seem to have no facts to defend these apparent grifters with, so to cover your lack of facts you spend your time making accusations of "fellow conservatives".

I'll grant you this, you're great at the name-calling and innuendo business.

By the way, do your comments mean that you've quit the GOP again?

LOL...you're acting as if Simcox promised to build a fence from sea to shining sea.

Sorry, but that's our elected leaders' job.

The Minuteman fence is for two purposes: One, to draw attention to the above fact, and two, to give some measure of protection to a few of the beseiged landowners along the border who are sick and tired of their own government ignoring their plight.

You should go talk to some of them some time...then you'd know what I'm talking about.

The only one so far told him to fly a kite and got a free cattle fence out of the deal. What Simcox is proposing is the equivalent of a booby trap that when the first illegal is caught in the razor wire, him or his family will own the ranch that it was built on. You will never see one foot of the Simcox fence built and Simcox and associates will try to run with the money.

The ranches usually have large contiguous stretches of property, some up to 10 miles long on the border. Most of them are for beef cattle.

The entire run, I doubt it.

If you look at this map, there is about 10-12 miles west of Naco and you reach mountains that are federal property/forest service/BLM.

If you run to the east, there are mountains, they are probably owned by Phelps-Dodge and ranchers about 4-6 miles from Naco, then about 10 miles of flatland to Douglas AZ.

There is federal fence of old aircraft matting in Douglas proper.

Use the hybrid view.

Well, you're making progress. You've gone from your stream of innuendos to outright lying. A) No cattle would get near the fence. B) Why isn't it a "damned international incident" when a foreign national violates our border, Tex?

What do you think is going to happen when an illegal gets tangled in the razor wire of the Simcox fence?
