Fan Fest First Impressions Posted July 7, 2006 3 :57 PM Missouri, Arkansas, Maine, New York, Illinois, were just a few of the wide array of states' license plates that I saw while pulling up to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

When I finally found a parking lot that wasn’t filled to the max, I headed to FanFest. It became difficult to navigate my way through the overcrowded sidewalks. When I did arrive at the entryway, the underpass of the Convention Center was brimming with laughter, excitement and children running around anxiously awaiting their admission.

Have fun with that. When the game was in Milwaukee Fanfest was well attended, and then Bud Selig's biggest blunder. Year was 2002.

Then it happened. After two extra innings the game was called at a tie. Commissioner Bud Selig was left with little options and made the ultimate decision to call the game. It was the first tie in All-Star play since a game in 1961 was stopped by rain. Even worse, there was no Most Valuable Player picked. Bad timing, too, since the trophy was renamed to honor Ted Williams, the Hall of Famer who died July 5. While the sport's most memorable moments were shown earlier on the board, baseball also paused to remember St. Louis pitcher Darryl Kile and Cardinals broadcaster Jack Buck. Kile's No. 57 jersey hung in the National League dugout and Buck's widow was in attendance.

IS the NFL still stroking the Rooney's member for that gift of a Super Bowl in Pittsburgh?

Yeah, but they are playing without some pretty major cogs in Evil Stein's machine. As a Yankee fan I'm relieved that they're not farther back.

Anakin Damon has won a bunch of games with his bat for Darth Steiner.

Does anyone know what the yellow wristbands stand for that everyone in the All Star game are wearing?
