Well, it's certainly second hand information on my end but I have no reason to doubt her. As I said, maybe officials will confirm or refute the story at some point.

How do you know it is a rumor?

I serve. The North Koreans put out closure areas for shipping/aircraft in the region. They didn't put any out for the Taepodong-2, which leads me to believe that they intended to put a basic sat into space. Back in 1998 that is what the mil thought that the North Koreans were planning and it is still a theory for the latest launch. They don't have to put out an intended impact area and they get the propaganda effect with putting a basic sat into space. Let me know when the U.S. Navy confirms that they launched missiles at the N.K. ballistics?
