Remember awhile back Juan and Jeff Gordon switched cars and took laps on the Indianapolis road course. Jeff went fast enough on his 3rd or so lap to qualify 11th for the USGP. There was no such comparison to make for Juan, but he did get Jeff's car to within 10th's of Jeff's time when he warmed the car up for Juan. Very impressive for both I thought. Tire management will be key for Juan to learn.
If Juan doesn't do well in the stock car, Ganassi has some nice IRL rides, and we know he can wheel it around an oval in one of those cars.
