It's the second half of the season, so TNT (and to a lesser extent, NBC) return to the TV mix. This half will be NBC's swan song for NASCAR and TNT's swan song for the Busch Series.
We've got a full slate of racing this weekend, as the Busch boys and Buschwhackers run a 3/4ers race Saturday afternoon, and the Truck boys and girls run over at Kentucky Saturday night.
Hay! We are still just funnin' here - ain't we? No knickers in knots.
Nork, unlock the trailer.
We are still just funnin' here - ain't we? No knickers in knots.
No knotted knickers on this end.
Not a fan, make no mistake.
My boy was really PO'd at what happened....and I asked him...what if that had been the #8 car behind him?
Long silence.....then he said, "Dale Jr does not do crap like that!"
Racing is racing, no doubt things happen.
But there are drivers that use that reasoning, then there are drivers that do not.
As Flash himself said, this will be an unpopular win (to effect).
Ummmm....good grasp of the obvious, there Jeff.
I expect the same mature response, when someone does that to you.
And take your helmet off, next time.
lol
Ok, fill in the blanks for me........??
Besides, he cleaned us out at poker last week. It's get even time.

I agree. It seemed that NBC has far fewer cameras than FOX.
I did get a little hot under the collar (exsept I did not have a shirt on) First time for this rookie to lose a race that I had in pocker. grrrrrrr
I head on Sports Radio this morning (Monday) that Danica Patrick's father was trolling the Nextel Cup Garages all weekend in Chicago. Danica's contract with Rahal Letterman IRL team expires at the end of this season.
Report: Patrick contemplating move to NASCAR

Just what we need in Nascar,, another purty face. ;-)
ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) - Danica Patrick may be headed to NASCAR.
The Orlando Sentinel reported on Monday that Patrick's father is exploring the possibility of moving the popular Indy Racing League driver to NASCAR as soon as next year.
According to the newspaper, T.J. Patrick, who has managed Danica Patrick's career since childhood, engaged in talks with some NASCAR teams at Chicagoland Speedway on Sunday.
"I'm trying to get her here (into NASCAR) because we've had some inquiries," T.J. Patrick told the Sentinel.
Patrick's parents was in the Nextel Cup garage area as guests of Roush Racing during Sunday's USG Sheetrock 400.
Danica Patrick's contract with Rahal-Letterman Racing team ends after this season.
The Sentinel also reported that the Patricks are negotiating with other IRL teams as well as NASCAR teams.
Patrick has endured a frustrating season with Rahal-Letterman after winning IRL Rookie of the Year honors in 2005, when she led for part of the Indianapolis 500 and finished fourth.
Yep... amid a great gnashing of teeth and rendering of empty beer cans :o)
We'll be looking forward to some dirndl photos upon yer return. Enjoy the trip.
She's already said several times the circuit is too long, too much work involved.
I doubt she will ever do it.
Gordon said he was "sorry to Matt," but he didn't apologize for playing rough
[snip]
"When it came down to five to go, he should have expected some action,"
[snip]
"Because of what happened in Bristol, you better believe I was going to make his life difficult."
[snip]
"He can say whatever about payback. It's a non-issue. It's racing. I got the bad end at Bristol, and he got the bad end today."
[snip]
Gordon felt he was within his rights when he slammed Kenseth's rear bumper in Turn 2 in the late going. [snip] "I certainly didn't mean to wreck him, but I didn't mind moving him out of the way either," Gordon said. "I wanted to win, and this team deserved it."
[snip]
But Gordon said Kenseth left himself open to contact because he constantly had blocked his car, particularly on a restart 16 laps earlier. "If I wanted to spin him, I could have done it then," Gordon said. "I wanted to win fair and square. That's why I hate that he spun because I think we had a car capable of racing for win. But if he's going to make it that difficult, it opens it up a bit. He didn't hesitate to turn into the groove."
[snip]
"Matt needs to take into consideration how hungry we are now," Gordon said. "We were out of the Chase, and he's solidly in the Chase. We haven't won here (at Chicagoland). As far as I concerned, I was definitely going to be aggressive. We need momentum, and we need to get in the Chase."
*****
Runner-up Jeff Burton initially was reluctant to comment on the incident, but he winced after seeing a replay of the spin during a postrace interview in the media center.
"Matt is a hard-nosed driver, and there will be retribution for that, I'm sure," Burton said.
Burton said if NASCAR isn't willing to issue rough driving penalties, it will be up to drivers to settle issues on the track.
"If NASCAR doesn't handle it, then we need to handle it," Burton said. "And that's OK."
Guess Jeff spun him so hard it overwhelmed the tank valves and dumped all the fuel out, eh?
I was just wondering if the extra caution laps after that wreck caused him and Smoke to run out of fuel.
Also, Jr loved his car, he said they made one wrong adjustment mid race which they had to correct. He was really fast on long runs, even Jeff in an interview last night on one of the shows said he wondered for awhile if he had enough to beat the 8. So, as much as I hate to admit it their loss of folks working on the plate tracks to work on 1 1/2 mile tracks must have worked. I just thought they should have enough people to work on both.
Jr slept during lunch today at Indy, and only had mozarella sticks and Bud for dinner last night. He really needs to work on his nutrition. :)
