Do some people get used to the heat & humidity? I can't imagine it that bad.
Yes they do. I grew up down here myself. When you get a bit older, you just play your outside work so that you finish around 1pm; and go fishing or something.
We did get a reprieve today though, a huge thunderstorm hit about 30 minutes ago! We sure needed the rain too. We're about 17 inches or so short this year.
Anyway, that should keep the temp down to the low 80's or so, which is not too bad for us.

Cordially,
GE

17" short of rain seems an awful lot. I think we stole it because we've had record breaking precip, nearly 24" in May & Jun alone.

We pay a lot for electricity, too, so staying cool is expensive. Heating and cooling costs have skyrocketed.

We need 4 seasons worth of clothing, too, from near-naked to near-Inuit. But we all love spring and fall!
