The Airborne Laser is not yet in service.
I would not bet the farm on that statement. It is much more likely, however, that an AEGIS ship got the thing. But we'll gladly mark it down as a "failure".

It is unfortunate tabloid emotionalism. Is anyone watching it?I don't watch FOX for precisely that reason. Their "fair and balanced" has devolved into exactly such phony debates between one Dim and one Rep talking head. And too many of their Dim heads are retreads from CNN and other old political talk shows.

My money if I had put it down was for a launch late this afternoon for a July 4th show by North Korea.
Their threatening statement a few days ago pointed to it.
