Dang, this is dead on. It says what people have been thinking for a long time. We have often become maddened by the snobbish elite but this is plain-spoken and accurate.
I am especially intruiged by the notion of activism as 'entertainment'. No one stops them, nobody says no to them, and they just keep pushing it further and further --- because it's fun.
They don't really mean any of their 'ideas'. It's just fun.
I think that one thing that is causing this 'crowd' great angst is the fact that, during the past decade in particular, the economy has been so strong that millions of 'low life' Americans are achieving a way of life, and their children are getting educations and acquiring property, to an extent that galls the elitists no end. For example, owning income real estate property used to be the purvue of only the most wealthy. Today, millions of 'ordinary' citizens own an apartment house, or a small commercial building. It probably drives the elitists crazy to think that so many 'low lifes' are becoming strong financially. They would love to see the economy fail, as well as everything else good in America.
