Health Canada cautions air travelers

There is always a possibility that bacteria can enter the aircraft water system from time to time from a variety of sources. As part of its random inspections of aircraft water, Health Canada found Total Coliform bacteria, which usually indicates the water is of poor quality or stale and that the water system should be sanitized. Total Coliform is normally not harmful to human health. However, if E.Coli, a type of coliform bacteria, is present, this can be harmful to human health.
Western Alaska sees 17 rabies cases in 6 months
Snip: Health officials with the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corp. are vaccinating dogs and treating exposed humans to ward off the latest threat of rabies in Western Alaska, where the disease has spiked for the first time in four years.
In the last six months, people in three villages have undergone a month-long series of inoculations after being bitten by a rabid dog or fox or exposed to a rabid dog's saliva, said Louisa Castrodale, a veterinarian with the state section of epidemiology.
White British converts lured into joining Islamic terrorism
Snip: A large number of white Britons have been lured into joining Islamic terrorism, a government report said. The converts and British Muslims are being signed up by extremists at universities and religious groups, according to a warning by officials from MI5 and the Home and Foreign Offices recently.
It follows calls by al-Qaeda for white converts to be suicide bombers "as it is easier for them to travel and evade detection before attacks." The reports says 'converts include white British nationals'.
