Joking Muslim cleric mocks victims of London blast

Snip: The audience laughs as Omar Brooks, a British Muslim convert who also uses the name Abu Izzadeen, makes fun of non-Muslims as “animals” and “cowards”.

Brooks — who has previously described the London bombers as “completely praiseworthy” — identifies with the views of Mohammad Sidique Khan, the ringleader of the London attacks.

He contrasts the supposed bravery of Khan’s suicide to the “kuffar” (non-Muslims) who are characterised as debauched binge-drinkers who vomit and urinate in the street.

The speech is peppered with jokes that bring laughter from his audience at the Small Heath youth and community centre in Birmingham, where it was filmed last Sunday.

At one point he announces dramatically that the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center “changed many people’s lives”. After a pause, he brings the house down by adding: “Especially those inside.”

"Jimmy Carter damaged our nation's security"
Miami Herald ^ | Jul. 08, 2006 | LEONARD GATO

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "To further ensure his legacy, Carter -- in league with his director of Central Intelligence, Admiral Stansfield Turner, and Sen. Frank Church, of the Senate Intelligence Committee -- decimated the CIA's human-intelligence capability, using the bogus rationale that we had technical means that made human presence obsolete."

Thank you Cindy - We're just part of the TM team fighting the battle against terrorism from our homes and jobs......armed with words and the constant offering of powerful prayers to God above for our salvation and the survival of good in this world over evil.

Yep, I agree.
Prayer IS powerful.

Amazingly, a lot of people will go through life and NEVER
understand how much evil there is in the world. They will
never understand how incredibly lucky they are not to be
a victim of evil doers (general criminals, organized crime;
gangbangers, the global jihad, and other assorted terrorists).

That is why I am very grateful for TM.
I truly believe that ignorance is not
bliss.

NYPD - "NEW YORK'S FINEST"

Counter Terrorism: Threats

View terrorist attacks in New York City from 1920 to today.
New York City has been the target of terrorist operations, including the 1990 assassination of Rabbi Meir Kahane; the 1993 foiled Landmark Plot against the Holland and Lincoln Tunnels, the foiled 1997 attack against the New York City subway system, the 2003 surveillance by Iyman Faris of the Brooklyn Bridge, the 1993 and 2001 World Trade Center attacks, and the recently uncovered plots against the New York Stock Exchange and the Citicorp Center in the summer of 2004. The threat of terrorism remains in New York City today.

The threat to New York City primarily comes from radical Islamists, most notably al-Qaida and its associated groups. These groups tend to launch simultaneous attacks against targets with high symbolic value that will cause mass casualties. Al-Qaida’s leaders have repeatedly stated intentions to continue the war against America and exhort the like-minded to join in attacking the United States and other western targets. The pace of radical Islamist attacks overseas has actually increased since September 11, 2001, as evidenced by attacks in Bali, Jakarta, Istanbul, Madrid, London and Egypt.

Along with decentralized attacks by al-Qaida and its affiliated groups against the West, there is also the threat of sympathetic attacks by “lone wolf” groups and individuals in the United States and abroad.

The chance of success is of paramount importance to al-Qaida and its network, so they show a preference for attacking lightly protected “soft targets.” Vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDS) are commonly used by terrorists as a method of attack. Terrorist groups are also seeking the capabilities to conduct attacks using chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear weapons (CBRN).

ITALY: TURIN MAYOR RECEIVES LETTER BOMB AGAINST IMMIGRANTS' CENTRES
Turin, Italy (AKI) - Turin mayor Sergio Chiamparino on Friday received a package bomb with a letter against detention centres for immigrants signed by an anarchist group. No one was injured as the mayor's office alerted the police upon receiving the suspected package and police defused the homemade bomb. Reports said the package included a copy of The Idiot by Fedor Mikhajlovic Dostoevskij and a letter in which anarchists calling themselves an 'Informal anarchist federation - Anarchic network of Tuscany' expressed "active and concrete solidarity for immigrants detained in CPTs [Italy's detention centres for immigrants]."

According to police the attack, the third in a week following letter bombs sent to a local paper and to a company carrying out construction work in a detention centre for immigrants in Turin, could be aimed at sparking protests by immigrants.

Panama May Be The Biggest Blast Of Y2K
November 3, 1999

While many Americans are making party plans to celebrate Y2K on New Year's Eve, Panamanian officials are lobbying to get President Clinton or Vice President Gore to attend their unique Y2K revelry. That's the day when the U.S. flag over the Panama Canal will be lowered for the last time as we abandon ownership of one of the most valuable pieces of real estate in the world.

If Clinton and Gore are smart, they will stay as far away as possible from the Panama Canal because the festivities will be a photo- op reminder of the foolish legacy of the Jimmy Carter Administration. It was the Carter-Torrijos Panama Treaties of 1978 that put December 31, 1999 in the history books as the date when the Panamanians take over our Canal.

Maybe former President Jimmy Carter will attend. After all, he was principally responsible for persuading the U.S. Senate, by one vote, to give away this great strategic U.S.-built waterway.

Rumors have been floating that the Panamanians have also invited Fidel Castro to attend. It would be fitting that he join the merrymaking because it was Castro who thumbed his nose at the Monroe Doctrine when he allowed Soviet missiles to be stationed in Cuba in 1962.

The Monroe Doctrine enunciated the U.S. policy that it is "dangerous to our peace and safety" for any foreign power to extend its system to the Western Hemisphere. In 1962 we were worried about Communist Russia's nuclear missiles deployed to Cuba; in 1999 we face the possibility that Communist China may put its nuclear missiles in Panama for a possible blackmail threat about Taiwan.

This danger comes from the fact that Panama has granted a Chinese Communist "front" 50-year leases to occupy the U.S.-built ports of Cristobal on the Atlantic end of the canal and Balboa on the Pacific end.

Rather than addressing the real arguments, Clinton had his spokesman Joe Lockhart call these concerns "silly stuff" and had an unnamed White House official assert that the Chinese corporation holding the leases "is a legitimate company." But, as the Cox Report showed, the Chinese have totally integrated military and industrial operations under policies established by the late Deng Xiaoping.

Immense pressures are working to close our eyes to the national security danger from the Panama-China leases. Clinton doesn't dare to upset the Chinese with whom he has suspect political and financial ties, and too many senior Republicans are committed to the fantasy that China is just a trading partner, not a potential enemy.

Contrary to what we are led to believe, the Panama Canal giveaway is not a "done deal." Here are some constructive steps we can take.

1) Renounce or renegotiate the Panama Canal Treaties in light of new evidence that the United States and Panama did not ratify the same text. The DeConcini Reservation, which was added to get the treaty through the Senate, gave us the unilateral right to intervene in Panama if we believe the Canal is threatened.

Carter hid from the American people the fact that Panama ratified the treaty without our reservation. Panama's version contains a three- paragraph counter-reservation, never submitted to the U.S. Senate, that requires Panama's "cooperation" before we try to defend the Canal.

Another reason to renounce the treaty is that Panama's Law No. 5 violated the Panama Canal treaties over and over again. The Panama Canal treaties can also be declared void because of "changing circumstances" as authorized by Art. 62 of the 1969 Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties.

2) Demand that Panama nullify the lease agreements granted to the Chinese and initiate a new bidding process that is open and fair. No one should be bound by the current agreements because the process was corrupt and discriminatory against a U.S. company.

3) Exercise our rights under the 1978 Panama treaties to protect and defend the Canal beyond the year 2000. Halt any more transfers of U.S. military installations, including Howard Air Force Base, the most important U.S. base south of the Rio Grande; Rodman Naval Station, a deep-draft port capable of logistic support for any warship; and Fort Sherman, the only base in the world specializing in jungle warfare and survivor training.

Depending on Panama to defend the Canal against China's aggressive acts, or against the Colombian drug cartel, is a bad joke. Panama has no army, navy or air force, and the country's police are completely unable to defend the canal against sabotage or terrorism by narcotics- funded forces already coming in from Colombia.

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Admiral Thomas Moorer told the U.S. Senate that "we are on what I consider to be a collision course with disaster in the very near future. . . . I truly can't remember a time when I have been more concerned about the security of the country."

Panama has a new government and frequent polls show that a majority of Panamanians support a continued U.S. military presence. Time is running out to do something to stop Communist China from establishing its threatening beachhead in the Western Hemisphere.

The Laurie Roth Show

If you live in AM radio range of Laurie's program - she's well worth a listen!

One dead after boat tries ramming Coast Guard cutter

Snip: One Cuban migrant died and four others were injured early Saturday after an overloaded go-fast boat repeatedly attempted to ram a U.S. Coast Guard vessel off the Florida Keys, authorities said.

The Coast Guard intercepted the 36-foot go-fast boat with 31 Cubans and 3 smugglers aboard around 6:30 a.m., Coast Guard spokesman Petty Officer James Judge said.

New anti-Cuba plan aggressive

Snip: The policy includes a "change of regime, intervention, and blockade," stated the diplomat Wednesday, assessing the document on a Cuban TV program, also attended by Parliament Speaker Ricardo Alarcon.

He noted that the document, written by the so-called Commission for Assistance to a Free Cuba led by US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, continues and retakes the Helms-Burton, Torricelli and a group of actions included in a 2004 report that were never applied.

South American laborers describe working in New Orleans

Snip: Finding immigrant workers in New Orleans was easy. According to the Gulf Coast Latin American Association, an estimated 30,000 immigrant workers moved to the Gulf Coast in the weeks after the hurricane. Exact numbers are hard to find because no one is officially keeping track of the fluctuating work force.

Russian senators approve use of force abroad

Snip: The Federation Council on Friday unanimously authorized President Vladimir Putin to dispatch armed forces or security agents abroad to stop terrorists.

The move to provide a legal stamp of approval for overseas operations came after Putin ordered special forces to hunt down and destroy those who killed four Russian hostages in Iraq last month. An al-Qaida-linked group has taken responsibility.

Entire FAA exempt for Section 126 of Canadian Criminal Code - protects deliberate violators from prosecution

Snip; Therefore, the CCE can block a prosecution by declining to inform the DPP of a possible criminal offence. If the government were really determined to enforce the criminal offences in the CEA, it could have used the word "shall" in that section. As it stands, however, the FAA does not require the CCE to give up carriage of alleged infractions.

Man accused of plotting to blow up train tunnels visted US in year 2000

Snip: The Lebanese man accused of masterminding a plot to destroy Hudson River train tunnels to bring death and flooding to lower Manhattan had visited the United States at least once — a trip to California six years ago, a federal law enforcement official said.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing, said 31-year-old Assem Hammoud was in the U.S. on a legitimate visa for a brief stay, and that he was believed to have been visiting either family or friends. The visit occurred long before authorities say the tunnel plot began to unfold.

Authorities are still trying to trace Hammoud's steps during that trip but say they have no record of him going to New York. They have not ruled out the possibility that Hammoud had come to the country using different names.

Meanwhile, a senior Lebanese official said authorities there found maps and bombing plans on the personal computer of the suspect. Acting Interior Minister Ahmed Fatfat described the information found on Hammoud's computer as "very important."

"Bombers' death date set (Bali bombers to face firing squad July 30th)"
news.com.au ^ | 10th July 2006 | Rob Taylor

Posted on 07/10/2006 1:12:46 AM PDT by naturalman1975

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "THE three Bali bombers on death row will be executed by firing squad at the end of the month, according to the Denpasar prosecutors office.

Lawyers for Imam Samudra, 36, Amrozi bin Nurhasyim, 43, and Ali Ghufron, alias Mukhlas, 46, had not lodged expected appeal documents, clearing the way for execution within weeks.

Bali's Denpost newspaper today quoted officials as saying time had run out for the men convicted over the 2002 truck bomb blasts at the Sari Club and Paddy's Bar that killed 202 people, including 88 Australians.

The reported execution timetable could not be immediately confirmed by AAP today.

"We waited, but they have not been lodged," the paper quoted an unidentified official in the prosecutor's office as saying about the three men's appeals.

"It seems that by the end of July – to be exact July 30 – the execution will be done.

"We are just awaiting the orders of the attorney-general's office.""
