Digg.com (one of the top visited sites on the eniter net) recently added a feature for posting and commenting on political news (under World & Business). Digg.com reaches more than 5 Million unique users a month... a very large audience (especially when compared to FR's traffic below).
I'm just happy it's hurting Slashdot so badly.
True. Slashdot never allowed for the freedowm Digg does.
I'm a daily Digg visitor.. Good site, but there are a lot of idiots there..

I don't know that there's a need for a call-to-action, unless you are advertising for Digg. Digg is a good site. If you like it, then read and post there. Over time, the site will bias more towards the conservative end of the spectrum.
That's an excellent idea.
You never know, Digg might turn out to be a forum where Right can meet Left and actually have a dialogue. You can't do it on DemUnderground and we tend to drive off the Lefties here at FR. I like Digg and it will be interesting to see how the move to a broader (not just techie) forum will work out for them.
The discussion at Digg is dismal, shallow and dull.
Slashdot has its value as a news distiller site but any and all subjects are invariably turned into 'how many angels can dance on the head of a pin' arguments from am-not are-so smartarses.
cool. thanks.
I have no personal stake or interest in Digg except I think it's an interesting site some Freepers may not have heard of. I wasn't advocating leaving FR in favor of Digg... simply using Digg as another tool, which some may be in favor of.

Sorry, I already pay a ton for my web connection, and I can't afford to buy an eniter net connection, too.
tech ping.
Take a look at the political forum on Digg. I don't find it dismal, shallow or dull at all. At least on some topics the number of trivial postings seems a lot less than you see on some forums including this one. Digg is worth a look.
BTT more conservative viewpoints needed at digg.
Thanks for the link to this site. Hopefully more conservatives will start showing up there to provide a bit of balance. Unfortunately from what i've seen the conservative comments tend to get "dug" down below the viewing threshold.
Right now the non-political sections are more my cup of tea. So i'll probably hang around there for those and maybe join the political fray when i'm in more of a fighting mood.
