[If you want to try Clinton for a blowjob and perjury, go ahead.

Fair is fair...if a blowjob lands you impeachment...starting an illegal war on false pretenses should at least get you juvenile court, no?]
Man, are you easy to draw out, LOL.

"Fair is fair...if a blowjob lands you impeachment...starting an illegal war on false pretenses should at least get you juvenile court, no?" Sorry but President Clinton was Impeached for lying under oath (otherwise known as perjury) not getting a BJ.
And could you site how president Bush Broke the law in going to war with Saddam Hussein?

"I stand by the wisdom of our Founders. "
Now you are making me laugh out loud.
Get serious will you?
BTW, you wouldn't happen to recall what happened to traitorous, anti-Ameriacn vermin during our revolutionary war, fought by the same founding fathers you are talking about will you?
And what happened during the civil war under Lincoln?
And just in the last century, what the RAT icon FDR did to people he considered America's enemies, without the slightest semblance if a trial, right inside this country (they were not even on Gitmo)?
To: jamiefoxer
Your abundant use of leftist buzz words and phrases indicates an ideology.

#2 If legitimate POW, hold in appropriate facility humanely with oversight from Congress and SCOTUS, and release after end of our wars. Cowards who don't join an army or militia with an identifying insignia or uniform will never be legitimate POWs.
You need to become better informed before posting such nonsense.
To: pabianice
This is truly despicable. The Court has no authority to interject itself into this matter. These are illegal foreign fighters, captured on a foreign battlefield, detained and imprisoned on foreign soil.
If these guys want to be treated like POWs, let them wear a uniform, and fight according to normal rules of war.

Under UCMJ you only provide counsel if you press charges, no charges can be pressed, soo....they can be held indefinately...and they can be shot.
To: pabianice
Does this mean that a non-citizen terrorist can enter our country, kill 10 million people, get arrested, play the court system and get off on a technicality or a hung jury; or appeal a guilty verdict for years and years?

It is interesting that you, who proclaim to be so concerned about checks and balances, about the overextension of the powers of government, particularly the federal government, should defend Roe v Wade, which has no textual foundation in the Constitution whatsoever, and was simply a case of seven justices imposing their personal opinion on the entire country, while overturning the laws of every state. So much for "the rule of law."
To: jamiefoxer
So they find up a guy inside a house in Iraq from which bullets were fired that killed a US soldier one minute before.
No body else in the house.
He claims he is NOT AQ. Obviously he is NOT in Afghanistan.
He is NOT uniform. Is NOT in any Army, but he is guilty of shooting our soldiers. (Has gunpowder residue all over him, but claims its from a previous day "target practice.")
What do you do with him? Come on: Quick. What do you do with him? How long do you hold him? Where?

How in the world do you try Al-Qaeda types?
Do you want to sit on that jury?
How many family members do you wish to lose?
How do you go about gathering evidence. On a battlefield? In the middle of hostile territory.
The SC, by the way, did not state that these folks would get fully procedural rights by American law.
The door is open for other procedures which go with prisoner of war status. That, of course, can mean detention until the end of hostilities. It is a very convoluted opinion.
If you are not a troll, please hang in and learn the laws of this land, too. Dissenting opinions are actually allowed here. And, if you are a troll, you will not be with us long. (Do a search on "troll.")

Well I'm not a lawyer but I've done my best to educate myself on Constitutional law and the Supreme Court. U.S. Constitutional History has been an area I've been working on since I was an undergrad and now in grad school.
I just didn't feel like going head to head with the troll and getting suspended again.
And it looks like he is gone. Oh well.
