A republican government is one in which the supreme power lies in the hands of the people. A constitutional republic is one in which that power is checked by a set of rules codified in that document known as the constitution.

Massachusetts' constitution requires a plebiscite under certain conditions. Those conditions have been met. Now we'll see how liberals respect the infamous rule of law.

Thus far in the process they have not respected it at all.
