How much more dangerous and irrelevant must the UN become before it is relegated to the dustbin of history, as was the League of Nations?

The U.S. Constitution guarantees the rights of our citizens to keep and bear arms, and there will be no infringement of those rights,.... except for the ones we foolishly impose on ourselves.

This is, of course, very good news.

"The illicit trade in small arms and light weapons can be exacerbated by the unregulated possession of small arms and light weapons by civilians not part of responsible military and police forces"
Gee, and the MSM and all the other UN defenders were assuring us the UN was only concerned with "illicit" trade. Funny how the first thing the UN does is attempt to link lawful posession by private citizens of firearms with illicit trade.
I believe we provide 22% of the UN's operating budget. Why on earth we have anything to do with this band of criminals is beyond me.

The sovereignty of the USA isn't for sale nor will otherwise be given away.
The UN is obviously about protection of tin-horn dictatorships along with Maxist captive governments and not advancing freedom. UN out now!

The U.S. Constitution guarantees the rights of our citizens to keep and bear arms, and there will be no infringement of those rights, he proclaimed to the dignitaries and functionaries. The United States will not agree to any provisions restricting civilian possession, use or legal trade of firearms inconsistent with our laws and practices. They should have auctioned off the privilege of saying this. I would have started the bidding at $500. I should be so lucky as to have the opportunity to address the gun grabbers of the world.

Here's a thought - forget the amendment to ban burning the US flag, try burning the UN flag.

Is Robert Joseph available to come speak to the California Legislature? They already seem well along in implementing UN-like gun control schemes.

Just took 4 months to get a new purchase permit for existing weapons due to age(prints not in FBI computer) and an address change. The old NJ card was about 35 years old.
But you are right, we shouldn't fund nor tolerate the UN presence in our country or their attempt to override our constitution. We should start a movement to get them out of the USA and then get the USA out of the UN.

Can he forward that message to the governors of CA, NY, NJ, MA. ?

A fine statement, bold even. Color me a skeptic, however. I can't help but think this was followed with a quiet Clintonian " A least for now ".

"A remarkable thing happened at the United Nations yesterday. We, the United States, told the world no. "I'm hoping that the minute that "no" turns to a "yes" folks realize that it's time. Shut down the electricity, water, transportation, communications...everything.
Shut everything except the door out.
