Bob Schadewald, now deceased, used to attend and writeup all the Creationism Conventions for the (proevolution) NCSE newsletter. I recall (paraphrased, not verbatim) his description of Kennedy, seated in the audience prior to giving a convention's keynote address, nose elevated, "as though at the whiff of an offending evolutionist." Schadewald wrote that he was among those rare human beings "able to strut while sitting down".
