I don't recall condonement of slavery in the New Testament. Also, one must put the Bible in context of the times. Slavery was accepted by owners and slaves alike. Some workers, government dependents, and immigrants don't live much different from slaves today.

Just a few of my thoughts for your consideration.

Slavery in the NT:

Ephesians 6:5-6,9
Colossians 3:22
Colossians 4:1
Titus 2:9
1 Peter 2:18

These passages deal specifically with the responsibilities of master and slave. There are other more metaphorical references to slaves, particularly in Romans but those passages are in a different context.
