When I know I'm clearing customs, I not only use the original bottle, but bring along an original prescription, both for customs here AND abroad, but also in case I need to obtain some out of country for some reason.

I have to admit, I might not have thought about making sure any prescriptions were in the properly labeled bottle when traveling.
For instance, I have a smaller med bottle that the label wore off of. It's a nice size and I like to put a few pills in it for traveling or to carry in my purse. I probably wouldn't have given it a second thought when packing for traveling. But it's certainly something to remember.
