Any prescription drug is "illegal" w/o a prescription but I think narcotics are governed by stiffer laws (sort of a guess, sorry for the pun). I wouldn't be surprised if Rush fell off the wagon, addiction is like that. But I wouldn't jump to that conclusion.

I've brought back antibiotics from Mexico with no problem. I hope what Rush brought back was ONLY viagra.

International travel with certain prescription drugs can also require following stricter rules. One small for instance....in addition to keeping the pills in the original container, depending on the drug, one must also carry a 'note from the presecribing doctor'.
