on second thought, after looking at the list of shows he was involved with, aside from Daniel Boone, The Mod Squad, and a few Love Boat episodes, ain't much there that has ever drawn my attention.

Well, I have to admit I did love Dynasty. Money, power, and Joan Collins as the best B**tch on Tv.

Actually, Aaron Spelling was instrumental in:

1. Getting ABC to become a major successful network. Shows like The Rookies and Starsky & Hutch in 1975 and Charlie's Angels, The Love Boat and Fantasy Island in the late 1970's made people watch ABC in huge numbers.

2. Getting the Fox TV network off the ground. Both Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place were the early successes for the network in the early 1990's.

3. Finally getting William Shatner out of the Captain Kirk typecasting with ABC's T.J. Hooker in 1982.
