Amazing. There are no words to describe the idiocacy of your post. You give the word "Christian" the ultimate bad name. Liberals live for this crap - the self righteous, intolerant nut job Christrian. For those of us with an open mind, it doesn't matter what his religiouis belief were - he's dead. Any decent human being should be given their due upon death. I have been an ardent critic of his rather exploitative style of production, but I'm sure his family cared deeply for him - that is what is important here. If you want to thump your bible, do it somewhere else.................

"There are no words to describe the idiocacy of your post." "If you want to thump your bible, do it somewhere else................. "

Thanks for your modeling your idea of "tolerance" for me.

I guess that is one of those "Do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do lessons??

You honestly do sound very much like the typical liberal lecturing others on how insensitive and unloving they are-- with so many sparks of hate and rage jumping from your keyboard you can hardly type.

Forgive me if I give your opinion about as much weight as a source of wisdom on spiritual matters as I do the classic liberal--assuming I'm correct in deducing that based on your posting here on FR you don't consider yourself a typical liberal in every sense, (i.e., that you are not a "troll" just looking for a fight-- which I can believe since even on this forum there has always been an anti-Christian representation that goes after Christians with every bit as much zeal as they do Kerry or Kennedy).

As far as the post that allowed you to so easily gain such certain insight into the very essence of my being as to denounce me as the most vile sort of being, I'm afraid you're going to have to blame God himself for the statement you find so offensive, though.

Frankly, your response made a few things very clear about you:

First, it identified you both as someone willing to make strong criticisms/personal attacks impulsively and in areas where you are not as informed as you would like to think and/or you want others to think you are.

Second, it showed that you either do not know and/or respect the Bible as the authoritative Word of the one true God, and

Finally, that, as result of #2, you deny and/or are offended by God exercising the authority to lay down principles of life for now and eternity--INCLUDING ones that people who rebel against them find offensive--especially at the most difficult moments of life such as the death of someone close to us.

By the way, did you know that YOU are in the Bible? Look it up. It's a fact. You're described in such detail that you actually help verify the truthfulness and accuracy of the Word!

The fact that you-- someone who obviously likes to think of themself as something of a champion of the hurting-- is so flat out-of-control-furious to resort so quickly to behaving like a mud-slinging child with trite, bigoted slurs about"thump your bible" "Chritrians" actually serves as a very strong witness as to the trustworthiness of the Bible!

Wow! See, you did your good deed for the day, even while you were trying to squash someone you spotted as a terrible example of a "chritrian", you bore testament to the truthfulness of the Bible. Thump THAT!

--This is a like a mini-drama of the story where Joseph's brothers sold him to merchants and told their father he was killed, but he went on to become a great leader and servant of God as one of the most "righteous" (if I may borrow the term you used to take an angry swipe at me) men in the Bible. The moral being: What was meant for evil God can use for good. (That's in the Bible, too.)

The Bible leaves no room for ambiguity in saying that the lost and unregenerate will find God's instruction offensive exactly has you expressed!

Just like President Bush said "Either you're with us or you're against us", well Jesus said it first--We're ALL involved in a great spiritual warfare, like it or not, and if we are not aligned with Christ, we are against Him-- and will find His very name offensive.

So thanks for bearing witness for me, simp. Despite the sarcastic tone of this post, (I tried, but if you ever come into the light you'll understand how frustrating it is hearing the same old attacks over and over-and always done as if the attacker thinks they sound substantive, informed and justified-thatI used to use when I, like you, thought God was created in my image instead of the other way around. You'll also begin at that point to understand the Christian life--and how different it is to live than to stand in judgment of from the outside looking in.) I sincerely do appreciate it, albeit having been unintentional on your part.

But, in the meantime you've got lots of company at your party--Spelling had a great run of 83 years of having a great house, respect, success--everything the world has to offer. I suggest you soak it up and enjoy it while you can, though--as they say, "It's later than you think."

God is not surprised when some people say "How dare God say things that some people may find offensive!" But don't hold your breath waiting for Him to start checking with you before asserting His authority.

You'll definitely have the chance to wave your tiny little fist in His face and let Him know how much smarter you are than Him--And, apparently, how much more compassionate you are than those who take His Word seriously-- just before YOU kneel down and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

But don't worry, God also makes it clear that those who choose to reject Him won't have to spend eternity with Him. In spite of what you think of Him, He IS a loving God who DOES respect our freedom of choice, so you'll have plenty of time to think back on how smart you are then. Then there will be little doubt which of us is showing "idiocacy", whatever that is.

"Liberals live for this crap - the self righteous, intolerant nut job Christrian."

Please, simp, unless you really are a died in the wool lib I know you can do better. This outburst looks far more like an object lesson in some course you teach on how to be a good liberal. I mean really, you say what they live for, and then you give examples: condescending mean-spirited name calling with a distinctive flavor of bigotry in the generalizations.

It sounds so much like what the liberal media does every day in their efforts to instruct the masses as enlightened superiors, oblivious to the fact that they're personifying the labels they're generously applying to others.

"Any decent human being should be given their due upon death. I have been an ardent critic of his rather exploitative style of production, but I'm sure his family cared deeply for him - that is what is important here. If you want to thump your bible, do it somewhere else................. "

Further evidence you're nothing more than a run-of-the-mill liberal, I'm afraid: your desperation to show that you are a really, really compassionate, caring person is a dead giveaway.

So if indeed you are a true liberal, go forth and share your light by lecturing someone else on some other subject about which you have no knowledge or respect. That is one thing liberals are truly comfortable doing.

As for my God, He doesn't need me to have His back. He's got things well under control just fine.

And I do hope you come to terms with the rather overwhelming fear of death I'm pretty sure I picked up in your post.

I'm just a broken vessel, and I can't do anything perfectly, but I don't like using that as an excuse for offending or hurting others. I hope you can see past the weakness of my flesh to the God that was the underlying motivation for my staying up late to write this post when I was just checking for any news before turning the computer off to go to bed.

That's part of what I meant about understanding the Christian life. It's a lot harder to live it than it is to judge how others live it. But it's also the most joyful, hopeful life imaginable.

I will pray that you come to a firsthand knowledge of what I'm talking about--and if my saying that makes you curse me, that's OK.

God bless.
