I just saw a report by Steve Harrigan on Fox News where he interviewed this young kid and he said the same thing. They told him they were opening a KARATE SCHOOL. A couple of them were wearing muslim garb according to the kid.
I do not know of a ton of martial arts that originated in the middle east. If anything an indoor soccer field would have been a better cover.
