She was a head of “United Energy Systems of Ukraine”, a powerful company. She was accused of illegal selling of Russian gas with cooperation with corrupted Russian officials. That is what Kremlin claimed some time ago, later they dropped the charges if I recall correctly. IMO it is very possible that she was involved in some shady deals, like all others politician-businessman in this country. However there is no well known evidence to confirm my suspicions. Even if she was guilty she will be never sentenced, the same with pro-Russian crooks like Rinat Akhmetov, Victor Pinchuk and many others.
