This may all be true, but I don't remember the old USSR being especially "gay-friendly."
Apparently in the early days it was; then they realized the chaos and mayhem that it caused.
If you haven't read "The Pink Swastika" you should check it out - I posted a link up the thread where it's available online. Goes into the history of "gay" rights and the Nazi philosophy. I couldn't put it down.
