Let's do a FReeper pilgrimage; wouldn't that be great?!

That would be so much fun! I am so envious of my son's trip up to Eastern Montana and the Dakotas because it is part of the country I haven't visited, and the reports coming back are that they are having a blast on this trip. (On Warm Fuzzy Wednesday I am going to post some photos of some fuzzy Buffalo they encountered up close near Yellowstone.)

Pinging my traveling friend, Amy. Wouldn't a trip to Mt. Rushmore be fun? Have you ever been there?

I think I will add Mt Rushmore to our list of places to visit. Need to do Hawaii first, tho.

We have been to Yellowstone 3 times.

About 7 years ago, a friend and I took two weeks (I think) days and did some sightseeing of some of the west that we had not seen.

We drove thru Vegas and then north into Utah. We saw Zion Natl Park and Bryce Canyon. We then headed for Colorado and Pike's Peak. While in the Colorado Springs area, we toured the Air Force Academy.

When we left Colorado Springs, we drove thru Nebraska to South Dakota. WE visited Mt Rushmore and the BAdlands. Then headed west to Wyoming where we spent a day and a half in Yellowstone.

After leaving Yellowstone we drove to Pocatella and met a friend of 35 years. She was not well but she met us for dinner and a wonderful evening of getting reaquainted.
A great memory.

Then home thru Nevada. It was a lot of driving and we were tired when we got back to FResno but the trip was memorable.

Yeah .... I think I could do Mount Rushmore again.

More info than you asked for? :)
