It was a Freeper crowd.

We did have a "handful" of FReepers in the studio audience -- out of 350+ TOTAL seats available.
When Hillary Clinton was on the Tonight Show several years ago, they packed the audience with two BUS LOADS of her supporters.
I know; I was there. :o)
We has nowhere NEAR that many of us in last night's audience.
Note: Ann ROCKS when they do not keep interrupting her, as they COULD NOT last night, in PART because of our presence.

It was a Freeper crowd.

Were you there, or do you know some FReepers who were?

It was a Freeper crowd.

I saw it last night and was sure the crowd was made up of our guys. Organized by FR in LA, I assume?

I thought Carlin's monologue was hilarious, a nonstop jab at everything politically correct.

As for Ann's Jersey Girls comments, I made similar comments years ago about a well-known and well-paid shrink/author who always began every private conversation or public speech with "I'm dying. I have an incurable disease." When given a chance to publish her newest book, I declined, saying that she'd "been dying professionally for two decades and wasn't interesting any more."

There really is a time limit on wringing sympathy from your audience, beyond which it's just shallow treacly faux emotion.

I think there were 350 audience seats. Many of the tickets were ordered months ago by those planning vacations in California. Some are given out on the day of the event. It was not a FReeper crowd. We had some people there to support Ann. I think that when Jay heard the loud cheering during the monologue at the Rove no indictment comment, it set the tone for the rest of the show. Others heard the positive response and perhaps realized that they were not in a very good position to give her a hard time.

Just before she came on, the stage manager walked into the crowd and told people to be cool. He thought that Ann might get some heckling. Nope. We set the stage early and she had lots of support. Unlike Hillary, whose people actually bused people into the show, Ann has no organized effort. RonDog just got some people together who wanted to see her on the show.
