LOL! Thanks for the reply. Last night I searched for "Artillery Scout" on Google. Apparantly in the Marines it is part of the Forward Observer title.

I'm sure the Wonkette doesn't know any better, which means he told her what his "title" was. I suppose "Artillery Scout" sounds better than the more commonly understood "Forward Observer."
