Bush, with help and support from many others, has tried to pick and choose which muslims "aren't good." Well, this just in, but that's impossible. There are many millions upon tens and likely hundreds of millions of muslims worldwide, that support the militant side of Islam. But we just have no clue where they are/live. Many live right in this country and it's not "just a few" as the buzz phrase that gets tossed around. It's legion.
Zarqawi didn't create Islam, Islam created him. It will also have created "his successor." It has also created all of the 17 in Toronto, the 19 for 911, and the list can go on, and on, and on, ...!
This news should reveal how non-serious we truly are about this WOT. It's all at the political level where practicality takes a back seat to perceptions.
Honestly, if I were a Marine, I'd seriously be thinking WTF!! I might even ask for a premature release based on this somehow. If the country's not going to be serious about this war, then why should they?
The biggest issue at work here however is that apparent glaring lack of understanding. The alternative is something much worse.
Why don't we simply hand the Wahhabis in Saudi Arabia the keys to our government too while we're at it! Eh George! What in Islam doctrine goes over so many peoples' heads that it simply isn't compatable with our U.S. Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and withholds the very freedom of religion and freedom of speech that are the two most basic premises of our entire way of life!
I have another idea too, let's erect a statue of Adolf Hitler somewhere too. Why stop here, now! In fact, how about a statue of Saddam Hussein on the Capitol Steps! Or Zarqawi in front of the Supreme Court! Let's really "reach out" here and grab both of our ankles with a 55-gallon drum of vaseline behind us.

If you're saying we're supposed to fight a war against all of Islam, then what does victory look like?
