No link, so I can't determine what actually was said.
We are asking New Jersey retailers statewide to stand with us and express their outrage by refusing to carry or sell copies of Coulter's book.
If this is the limit of it they're asking people to voluntarily take an action, not legislating it. This is as much an infringement of Coulter's free speech as your local Christian book store refusing to carry pornography infringes the rights of pornographers. Business owners can carry the merchandise that they wish to market.

No, if you or I ask a book store to stop selling a book, no problem, that's our free speech. However, when a government representative does the same, that's completely different. The government has police power to make the stores life miserable. For example, they can seize a store that doesn't follow suit using eminent domain.
