1) man shall be joined to wife
2) not three, not four or more, but *two*

ROTB, good point. Our western laws on divorce, that until recently were fairly strict against divorce and remarriage, were built on that scriptural passage.

Jesus had the same concept of marriage that all of civilization had until the gay agenda folks came along: Marriage is between man and woman.
