I highly doubt US medics made much of an effort to save him. It sounds like he died within a couple minutes of their arrival and there is not much you can do for someone on a stetcher.

I seriously doubt that we even wanted to capture him alive. Nor do we want to capture bin Laden or Zawahiri. They need to be dead instead of becoming a political football in the Islamic world.

That sounds off the wall but I remember hearing that they actually *DO* that when they suicide-bomb. The member is swathed in cloth so it will not be turned into smithereens by the blast of the bomb belt.
